Meet the Team

My name is Briia Comilang, I have been working with Dr. Shojaei now for the last 2 years. I found a passion in the dental world and graduated from college for dental assisting this year of 2022. I am the doctor’s right hand man, and I see patients from the start of treatment all the way to the end. My main goal with patients is to make sure that their experience here at the office is a great one.

Our office is filled with such amazing individuals, that truly love what they do and bring that “family” aspect to place.

Outside from the dental world I am a professional dancer. I firmly believe that when you put your mind to something, anything can get done! I’ve danced for artist like Bad bunny, Marc Anthony and been on a movie with Jason Mamoa called “Slumberland”.

I joined Aurora Orthodontics in 2019 as Treatment Coordinator.  I have worked in dentistry for almost 25 years, and by far, my heart is in Orthodontics.  I enjoy meeting different families and educating patients on their personalized treatment plan.  In short:  I am your dental translator!

I am also the Marketing Liason and I also venture out into our community meeting our local dentists to ensure we are delivering the best care for their referring patients and I organize our year-round Mouth Guard Program, where we collect donation for local organizations.

Working with the Aurora Orthodontics Team has been a rewarding experience.  I love meeting new families and working as a team to deliver the best experience possible.

I began my career as a dental assistant and transitioned to the administrative side of dentistry when I joined Dr. Shojaei in 2013. My job involves greeting patients by telephone and in person, answering questions, and supporting our patients by scheduling appointments and coordinating financial and insurance paperwork.

I love working with Dr. S and the team because we’re like a family and everyone makes the office feel like home. Everyone is so pleasant and fun to work with, and they make my days just fly by!

God blessed me with a great family, a loving husband, and a beautiful and very talented daughter. I’m a pet person and have two dogs and a cat. One of my favorite things is watching my daughter compete and perform on stage.

In my role, I assist Dr. Shojaei throughout the day and collect records which includes taking photos, radiographs, and intra-oral scans. I have over 13 years of experience working in the dental field and graduated with honors with my certificate from the National Dental Assisting Examining Board.

I still remember the day my braces were removed and the positive impacts my new smile had on my confidence and self-esteem. The most rewarding part of my job is being a part of our patient’s smile journey from start to finish. I love seeing their happiness and confidence grow as their smile transforms. It never gets old!

I am grateful to work with an amazing team who looks out for each other like family and makes coming to work each day fun! Outside of the office I enjoy going to the gym, traveling, and watching sports. I also enjoy spending time with my loving family, great friends, and my dog, Flash!

I work in the lab, fabricating the retainers and all types of orthodontic appliances worn by our patients. My absolute favourite part of my job is working with the patients and their families to ensure they have a positive experience when coming to our office. I love seeing how a beautiful new smile can improve someone’s confidence. I take pride in knowing I can be a part of that process and share with them that journey.

This is the most incredible team of people I’ve worked with. The positive attitudes of my co-workers makes coming into this office a joy every day. Their dedication and strive for excellence is contagious.

I am blessed with a loving family and incredible friendships. Originally from Kingsville, ON, I have lived in Aurora for 26 years. I love this community and am astonished at how much it’s grown! I have a passion for fitness and nutrition. I love spending time with my two dogs, Fauna a female toy poodle and Frankie a three legged bichon-poodle mix.
